Welcome to the webpage of Camping Prahljust! We are located in the middle of the Harz Mountains near Clausthal-Zellerfeld at an altitude of 600 meter. The camp site is surrounded by forests and many lakes and is ideal for everyone enjoying nature. Winter in the Harz Mountains!

Weather turns now into cold winter weather with wind from Eastern direction. Therefore, we have now freezing temperatures all day long and actually 20 cm of snow. Ideal conditions for a winter trip into the Harz Mountains :-)

The renovation work is finished and our indoor pool is open again.

Caused by the nuclear accident in Japan many people ask currently how the consumed electricity is produced. Camping Prahljust uses 100% "green" (regenerative) electricity from the supplier LichtBlick (www.lichtblick.de).

We offer a new Email-Newsletter-Service to update our camping guests about interesting activities on our camp site. It is published 2 to 3 times a year. If you are interested, please feel free to send an email to camping@prahljust.de . Of course, you will be withdrawn from the mailing lists once you send us a second email.

Free WLAN for our guests!

We have installed devices for sending WLAN signals on a part of the camp site. Surfing requires a user name and a personal password. Both is available in the reception for free.

The UNESCO has declared the "Oberharzer Wasserregal" to be part of the world cultural heritage of mankind. The decission was published 1st of August 2010. The "Oberharzer Wasserregal" is a huge system of lakes, tunnels and waterways to generate water power for operating historic mines. The biggest part is from the 17th century. Camping Prahljust is in the middle of this new world heritage and is the ideal starting point for discovering it. Our lake at the camp site (from 1674) as well as the other 6 lakes in close proximity belong to the "Oberharzer Wasserregal". A separate webpage with much more information is in preparation.

We offer specials rebates for the winter season 2011/2012 for people staying two, three or four months on the camp site. The camp site for a caravan or mobile home as well as two adults. Extra is electricity (upon consumption), sauna entrance and local tourist tax. The start and end of the 2,3 or 4 months period is not fixed to the change date of the months (you may start middle of December for example).  The price for 2 months is: 300,00 Euro, for 3 months 400,00 Euro and for 4 months 500 Euro. Important is, that these special rebates are requested upon arrival at the camp site.

We have free camp sites for permanent guests. Please ask in the reception, if you consider permanent camping in the Harz mountains.
